 Some paths are planned. Others you just find yourself on — and those are usually the best ones.

Hi, I'm Christy — a mama, a wanderer, a homeschooler, and a travel coordinator who believes that the best adventures aren't always far away. Sometimes they're just around the next bend in the road.

Faerie Far Away was born from a simple truth I keep coming back to: life is meant to be explored. Not rushed through. Not watched from the sidelines. Explored. Whether that looks like a picnic at a local park with my little girl, a family cruise with three generations in tow, or watercolors painted somewhere beautiful — I want to be present for all of it.

I'm a homeschooling mama to one curious, wonder-filled little explorer who sees the world in a way that constantly reminds me to slow down and look closer. She is my favorite adventure.

By day I coordinate travel — helping families and groups plan trips they'll talk about for years. Group vacations, reunion cruises, milestone celebrations — if it involves getting people together somewhere meaningful, that's my sweet spot. If you've ever dreamed of finally getting everyone together for a real trip, I'd love to help make that happen.

But this blog? This is where I get to just be. A place for stories, local adventures, creative journeys, slow mornings, and everything in between.
